Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. She has been a part of the fringes of both traditional and popular music since her teens she has also delved into different music genres like Hip-Hop Soul and Trap. Her voice is described by no less a talent than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp and with a bite that is similar to those of the past. El Mal Querer is her second album, made available in 2018, which was critically and commercially successful. Following Los Angeles, her debut album released in 2017, she received an award from the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist as well as an Latin Grammy nod. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami the third album by her, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in March 2022 after an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish solo artist to perform on the show on Saturday Night Live. In addition to winning three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first woman to win the Latin Album of the Year twice.
