Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. The couple made the move to Oxfordshire as a child when she enrolled in an academy called the Dragon School. Emma decided to become an actor in the age of six. In the past she was at the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing along with dancing, as well as acting. By the age of ten she performed as well as taken as the main character in several Stagecoach shows and school productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was cast for the very first time in 1999. Emma was noticed by casting directors through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. After the eight auditions, producer David Heyman told Emma and the other candidates Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were selected as the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance in a film was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film broke all records on opening day and weekend revenue, making it one of the top 2001 films. It was highly praised by experts, as was the performance of three new stars. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British publication, gave Emma high marks for her performance. Emma's performance was nominated, and she was awarded five more times for the film.
